I am so honored to be sponsored (and inspired!) by SweetWorks Inc. today for these recycled jar Valentine candy bowls! This is a super easy upcycle you can do in literally minutes. It adds a unique and clever twist to your Valentine’s Day spread.
Here’s what I used:
- Clean baby food jar
- Clean small jelly jar
- Pink ribbon
- Three dollar bin heart shaped plastic bowls
- Hot glue and glue gun
- SweetWorks candies
I found these three plastic bowls in the dollar bins at Target the other day and I couldn’t pass them up. I wanted to add height to them because I think it looks nicer when you display them. At first, I was thinking of looking for thrift store candle holders, but I had these jars and had an idea.
You can by individual bags of Sixlets in many different colors. I thought it’d be fun to make the stands multifunctional. They would display the pretty pink color of these candy coated chocolate candies, AND have a candy bowl on top. SO, I filled the jars and put the lids back on top.
I wanted to cover the lids, so I added a pink ribbon around them. Next, I hot glued the candy dish on top. This way, you can still eat the candy inside of the jar.
Note: To open the jar, you have to twist from the lid and not the bowl.
There you have it! A fun and easy multifunctional Valentine candy display! Pictured here are the silver, pink, and read, foil chocolate hearts and the pink candy coated Sixlets.
